First Race in a Junior Kart...

Having recently turned 12, Toms next challenge is to get used to the bigger faster Junior Karts - and his third time out in them last Sunday turned out to be a full on race!

Having had a great first session qualifying 3rd, to Toms delight he was paired up with his fellow junior ‘newbie’ and good friend Jack for a race, with the overall winning pair to be decided on their joint results.

Tom had a flying start and quickly gained 2nd overall, however keeping it was a battle and one Tom took head on! Despite clipping the apex a few times, a hugely defensive drive saw him keep his competitors behind despite a great effort from them, especially Freya who kept him on his toes for most of the race having made her way through the pack.

With Tom holding on to 2nd place in the race till the chequered flag 🏁 and Jack doing a superb job moving up 3 positions to P7 their combined results netted their team 2nd overall. Congrats to Harry for 1st place in the race and to Freya and Alex who took joint 1st for their team.

Qualifying: P3 - 🥉 | Race: P2 🥈 | Team Result: P2 🥈
