Grid Series Round 3 - Another trophy for the collection...

Monday 16 March saw the third round of the Junior Grid Series at TeamSport Reading. A full grid of 15 karts took to the track for another hectic session!

Practice - lots of uncessary contact/spins (none that Tom was involved in fortunately) but wasn't able to get a fast lap in - P9

Then the fun began. Heat 1 saw Tom start 6th - moving through the traffic to take 1st at the end of the race - a great start to the evening! Then for heat 2 Tom drew a 12th place starting position, so a lot of work do. He made up 4 spaces but with so many karts on track and limited options for safe overtakes Tom decided to play it safe - P8. Heat 3 started with Tom in 5th - he made it up to 4th off the line, and despite being spun out by a lunge from an overenthusiastic competitor he managed to retain the place - P4.

The final began and Toms finishing positions in the heats gave him P2 grid slot which he retained despite some fierce competition - P2, congrats to Josh on the win!

Overall a great result - it's been P1 🥇, P6 and P2 🥈 in the finals so far, with 3 races to go and all to play for! 🏎🏁
